Social Return on Investment is a framework for measuring and accounting for this much broader concept of value; it seeks to reduce inequality and environmental degradation and improve well-being by incorporating social, environmental and economic costs and benefits.
This guide is an update to the 2009 Guide to Social Return on Investment that was published by the UK Cabinet Office.
The 2009 guide was written by Jeremy Nicholls, Ellis Lawlor, Eva Neitzert and Tim Goodspeed, and edited by Sally Cupitt, with additional contributions from Sheila Durie, Jennie Inglis, Karl Leathem, Tris Lumley and Richard Piper.
